I haven’t watched a better WR in 40+ years of watching the game.

That is a bit of a stretch, but good for Smith. I did not even realize they were giving out a Heisman Trophy this year.

And yet, he wasn’t even WR1 on his own team until WR1 went down with injury

This kid is a monster, 100% deserved. Can’t wait to see what he does at the next level.

Well that’s bullshite. He was coming off a 1200 yard season in 2019. He was very much the top WR for Alabama. Pre and post injury of Waddle.

And yet he was second when Waddle went down, and by your own fans admission Waddle was expected to be the top WR this year

So what you’re saying is, Bama has 2 Heisman caliber WR’s in the same season and LSU has never produced 1 in their entire history?

Even Bama fans who hate Auburn with every fiber of their being respect Bo Jackson.

This seems to be a rare season where very few fans of other teams have an issue with Smith winning the Heisman. Only Clemson fans appear to be complaining. Just shows what a class act Devonta is.

Not really. If they were both healthy neither would win the Heisman because they would share targets.

But yea, when Waddle went down both had 4 TD’s and Waddle led by almost 100 yards. Smith led in receptions though
