Depth is what killed Auburn not time of possession...if Auburn would have had any depth we would have beaten Bama...

Two things:

1) If your aunt had a dick, she'd be your uncle.

2) Remember how all the AU fans said that the 6 in a row was in no way related to scholarships lost by UA? Well, I guess you are now aware of how important it was.

Props to you Auburn.

But something tells me that LSU would never come close to seeing Raymond James with a 5 loss regular season.

Sweet! This is a nice job by Chizik in his first year in my opinion.

I agree. Vacinity and lobbying no doubt played a part. Still its good for the program and good for the kids to have something to hang their hat on. (probably just opend auburn up for another "moral victory" post with that comment)

They finished the year 2-5 with one of those wins against Furman. Awesome job Chiznick. Keep it up.

and your team had to and score a last minute touchdown to beat them

what does that say about your team?

I find it amusing the amount of positive feelings AU fans are having in regards to the end of the reagular season when the reality is AU got worse as the year went on.

And I find it amusing that bammer fans know so little about the game that they can't understand that the difference for Auburn was not being able to hold onto multi-touchdown leads because of defensive depth.

That won't be the case next year.

No you didn't. It's a good bowl that will be great for your seniors and the rest of the players. Chizik & staff had a very good 1st season, considering the turmoil your program was in this same time last year.

First off the competition got better so it wasnt' just the team getting worse...i dont' think anyone is disputing that the first half of the year was an easier schedule.

Second off, you find it amusing that auburn fans are proud of the way their undermanned overmatched team performed this season? After what happened last year, and the way chizik was recieved by state and national media (and even some auburn fans)? So basically you only like fairweather fans right?

Congrats to AU on a very nice bowl and a better than expected season. I'll be pulling for you and the rest of the SEC come bowl time.

Also, having bowls consider you because you have a good football team AND passionate fans who will come to see their team play is always a positive thing.

Except we never bragged about winning 7 games and "almost beating" Auburn.

bullshite

I don't know about the seven wins, but Alabama fans were borderline crazy with their shite about how "we're on probation so you should beat us by 500, and because you didn't we exceeded what we should do" and how the streak of six games should "have an asterisk".
