The fallacy is that you're judging the power of that conference in the past according to the current power of individual programs.

1/3 of your conference "titles" came in the waning days of the Southwest Conference, which was dead after the early 1980s.
Three under Jackie Sherrill led to major sanctions and his firing.
Three under Slow-cum led to major sanctions again and a brush with the death penalty.
And all through that, you never finished in the top 5. 1956 to 2012 or whatever with not one top 5 finish.
Poor aggy with their tainted conference "championships," their made-up national titles and their goofy fake army.

The truth hurts, doesn't it? The Southwest Conference was a great sports league that was very good in football, but face it, aggy was the doormat for most of that time.

Because the SEC wasn't the SEC then. This is one annoying thing I notice - not being a southerner - is that SEC fans think it's always been the best conference. That's false.

Yep and like I said, that isn't a SWC or Arkansas bias, that's me growing up in the North. Dynasties are cyclical in college sports, not just teams, but also from conference to conference.
