My basketball coach was a nazi. So actually I do.

Not with 50lbs of gear on in 100 degree heat.
You can have your indoor gym. There is no women's sport that can come close to comparing.

So, there's that.
That may be right. But I once told a high school coach if I saw him do that again, I would put his name in 60 point. I spent nearly two years with the Eighth Marines, so what you posted is nothing new to me.

I also played soccer. We wore weighted vests when we ran through the park (Remember the Titans-Gettysburg style) before practice. During two a days. In the same weather as the football team.
So spare me the machismo "you've never dealt with this" BS.

I mean, Saban's not built for football, so I've actually theorized that Saban always wanted to be a coach and put his 4'11" arse on the field sheerly so he could get a coach's attention and mentoring.
He was a scholarship athlete and starter, so he's a pretty good athlete.
His height wasn't such a handicap in 72.

Would you say Freeze is just a "decent" and not a good coach?
How about Mike Leach?
Cannot find anything about a high school career and did not play in college

Again, there is nothing you can add to your cool stories to make it equal anything close to experiencing a football practice or game.
Did you wear those weighted vests, Remember the Titans' style after a 3 hour practice that you spent beating the shite out of each other?
Football is a different monster. And you don't understand it unless you experienced it.
You can "know" it better than anyone. But you'll never understand it.

Leach is atypical among NCAA Division I head football coaches, in that he did not play football at the college level. He is one of only seven such coaches along with Paul Johnson at Georgia Tech, David Cutcliffe at Duke, George O'Leary at UCF, Bobby Hauck at UNLV, Charlie Weis at Kansas and Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss.

Dennis Franchione, too.
There are several who never played college ball.
How did Leach get his start?

How do you figure that?
She's trying to compare a soccer practice that they wore weighted vests to run in to FOOTBALL practice.
Give me a break.

Carry on then…don't say I warned you.

It's no different than any other sport in that you can even if you haven't played it. Others have listed coaches that'd be considered better than "decent" as well with a lot less experience then your unspoken "requirements".
The irony is while you're spouting about you can't make football decisions unless you've played, most schools have presidents who very strongly determine all kinds of things related to your football programs without ever having put on pads. But when a woman is on a college football committee? OMG END OF THE WORLD.
It's pretty damn hilarious.

You're the one running off at the mouth that unless you've gotten dirty in some pads then you can't "understand" football.
There's some head coaches in FBS that kind of shite all over that logic.

Playing high school football gives a person an infinite amount of understanding more than a person who has never played.
If you haven't played organized football at the high school or college level, you have absolutely NO business making decisions like the ones she's in charge of making.
I hate racists. Why aren't you bitching about Jeff Long, the chairman of the college football playoff selection committee, having never played a down of football in his lifetime?

I will never pretend to understand women's soccer or fast pitch softball. I can watch it, and learn allllllll the rules and records, and stats, etc... but I'll never know what it's like to actually play and prepare.

Really? Which of those coaches never played a down of high school football? Maybe 1? And we're not even sure about that? So 1 coach out of however many hundred never played the sport. There's a reason for that.
The fact that you're trying to somehow dispute it is what's funny.
