Really depends on $$. You should know this as an Auburn fan. You got left out because Texas, USC better. You got in over TCU.

If it were ms state vs Ohio state, we know the outcome.

Wondering if we will now see a 6-team playoff since this committee came about because of an all SEC BCSCG.

They just created the 6 team playoff. #6 Wisconsin would play AT #3 UGA. #5 tOSU would play AT #4 Bama. #1 Clemson and #2 Oklahoma would be waiting at the Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl for the winners.

Irons, imo if Gus had gotten another RB more pt and ready to play then they would have had a chance last night. It was very obvious that KJ was missed badly in your offense. Gus chose to run him into the ground and failed to give a backup meaningful PT and development so that he could be useful in the event KJ went down.

It’s neither here or there, every HC runs his program how he sees fit. But AU sure could have used a seasoned backup behind KJ last night.

What precedent did they just set?

Crazier thing to think about is what if we are in this same scenario next year? Does a team with 0 losses refuse to play in the conference championship in fear of it hurting their playoff chances? Do they decline the invite?

That conference championships only matter as a tie breaker?

Again, AU would have had problems in the first round based on some of the injuries the received playing in the Championship Game. My point is why play these games if they do not mean anything. The Big 10 is sitting at home because of it.

No, they sent a message that Conference Championships are not the overwhelming factor.

If losses are the deciding factor how does the committee justify Alabama over Wisconsin?

Wisconsin has the better loss, more wins, and a comparable schedule.

So if your Wisconsin do you decline the conference championship invite?

That was already established last year when Ohio State got the nod over Penn State

Just because it happened once doesnt mean it's the precedent. I don't know why everybody keeps saying that

I think conference championships matter, they just aren’t the ultimate deciding factor at the end of the day.

They also sent a message that you shouldn't get blown out by a 7-5 Iowa team and lose by 31 points when a giant like Alabama is sitting there at number 5 and hasn't lost a game by 31 points in 10 years. You made some very valid points.

Look on the bright side, Auburn gets a SEC west championship ring with Little Brotatochip carved in the side of it. Auburn will always be the bitch. Roll Tide!!

2 loss champ. The way the division winners are decided might need review. 2 loss teams do not get to play for championships, period.

That’s exactly what the word precedent means
