They just sent a message that Conference Championships are a waste of time. AU and Wisconsin would have been in without it. And the most important lesson is to beat the shite out of the lesser teams you play. Do not pull your starters in the 4th Quarter and do not take a knee at the end of the game. If you are losing big at the end of the game, do not just run the ball to protect players health. You have to score and go on every fourth down possible.

There have been 16 spots awarded so far and 14 of them went to conference champions.
If you don't win your conference you are in a world of trouble.

Sounds like something Gene Stallings said back in 1992.

Maybe Ohio State should have pulled JT Barrett in their 30+ point LOSS to Iowa and faked an injury. Then they'd be in.

Committee lesson
Comittee Chair: "Iowa loss was the deciding factor."

Wondering if we will now see a 6-team playoff since this committee came about because of an all SEC BCSCG.

The message they sent is that arse sucking losses trump everything.
Conference championships still matter when two teams are close. Hocutt just said that Alabama and Ohio State were NOT close.

Bama pulled starters in the second and third quarters of it's blow outs and took the mercy knee against teams. Melt .

Do you not see the contradiction of your first and second sentences?

4 best teams. Losses matter. Do you understand?

They sent a message that they hate you.

OP must not have been paying attention when PSU was left out.

It's almost as if, over the last three years, nobody ever mentioned that winning a conference championship is NOT and has NEVER BEEN one of the primary criteria for playoff inclusion.
Certainly, win your conference championship. It helps. But it is not a guarantee. Please learn to multi-task and pay more attention while you are melting.

Sets a bad precedent. Maybe the committee wants a 6 game playoff and this is how they transition to it.

Don't get blown out by an unranked team by 31 points in early Nov. That's the lesson.

Lesson is more to not lose to an unranked Iowa team by 31 late in the season.
