Why do people still want a 5 star highschool QB? Save your NIL and get a seasoned transfer portal QB. Don’t waste your time on a guy who might be ready in 2 years and demand more NIL every year

So you suggest doing the opposite of what Tenn does? Interesting.

Being able to develop them in your system would be a benefit.

For sure and that's how it used to be. Now if they're not ready you still gotta play them or they'll leave after a year.

The whole system is broken but that's how it is. You'd better have a CFB-ready high school player or you're either throwing a season away on hopes or you're watching them hit the portal.

How is it the opposite?

Their last 4 starters:
Aguilar: transfer
NICO: recruit
Milton: transfer
Hooker: transfer

If anything NICO supports the argument because the transfers were all better options.

What does McVay have to with Ty turning down bags to stay at Bama.

Anyways, he cleared the air on his facial expression

quote:

This time, Sean McVay flashed a smile.

“What do you guys think, am I angry right now?” the Rams’ coach asked reporters Friday night before laughing to begin his press conference during Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft.

McVay wasted no time Friday addressing his notably sour tone and outward expression from one day prior after the Rams shockingly used the No. 13 pick to draft Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson, who, if all goes well, will only play in garbage time this season as Matthew Stafford’s backup.

While admitting “I get my demeanor last night,” the Super Bowl-winning coach insisted that he and general manager Les Snead “couldn’t be more in lockstep” about their decisions.

“We’re excited about it,” McVay said. “Always want to be mindful of how things come off, things like that. Very excited about last night, very excited about (Friday) and couldn’t be more excited about us continuing to lead together, but every decision that we make is collective and collaborative.

“That was never my intended way to come off, but sometimes I can be a little grumpy”

Yes. Heupel spends too much recruiting QBs when he shouldnt. We shouldve gotten a transfer QB for this year instead of going through the growing pains of a talented but young QB

what a goober, going to dubose over clearly better programs - in fairness, dubose's last 3 QB1's got drafted in the first 3 rounds of the draft so husky harsin can develop QBs. hope he never returns to the state after this treason.

To early for this. Players will switch schools a ton..so no point in caring till NSD now..even then lets hope they do not transfer out the first few years.

Lane said he'd let the kid go to Alabama and develop for a year or two, and see what he looks like.

The idea that Bama and UGA don’t pay top dollar is fricking retarded.
