Wait. Just as many trashy AU (and LSU, Tenn, UGA) threads could be posted. Hell I have tons saved from over the years when this comes up, but it always devolves into people getting banned.
And no, Alabama should not apologize for being a national brand that is the face of CFB right now. It makes the school money and why Bama's athletic dept. is the top 3 or 4 ADs that make the most money.
And yes, Alabama's alumni and student body is larger than AU, so you're more likely to see a Bama grad.

Cmon, sorry your credit wasn't good enough to get a set.

Your UNIVERSITY hosts a gotdamn rodeo every year, which is the biggest non-football event of the entire school calendar, and you celebrate football wins by throwing toilet paper into trees. How many thousands of Auburn students live in a trailer park? Shut the frick up talking about trash.

Housing
For most of the early history of Auburn, boarding houses and barracks made up most of the student housing. Even into the 1970s, boarding houses were still available in the community. It wasn't until the great depression that Auburn began to construct the first buildings on campus that were "dorms" in the modern sense of the word. As the university gradually shifted away from agricultural and military instruction to more of an academic institution, more and more dorms began to replace the barracks and boarding houses.
Auburn's first dorms were hardly luxurious. Magnolia Dormatory, built in the 1950's and demolished in 1987, was once used by the state of Alabama in its defense against a lawsuit brought by state prison inmates. The inmates claimed that housing two men in a cell of particularly small dimensions constituted 'cruel and unusal punishment.' The state argued in court that students at Auburn actually paid to live in even smaller living spaces--at Magnolia Dorm. The inmates lost the case.
One quirk of Auburn's student housing that for almost fifty years made it unique in the country was the high percentage of Auburn students living in mobile homes located off campus. This trend began in the late 1940s as a result of massive housing shortages due to returning soldiers taking advantage of the GI Bill. Trailers provided an economical, readily available source of housing with the additional bonus of providing privacy not found in a dormatory. Often a student would live in the same trailer that his or her siblings or other family relatives had lived in during their years at Auburn.
In the last twenty years, the city of Auburn has experienced a rapid growth in the number of apartment complexes constructed, and the number of students living in trailers has rapidly declined. However, even today there are large trailer parks located off Wire and Webster roads southwest of Auburn where many students live

Link? Date? I know Auburn has been building dorms and apartments like crazy since I graduated 20 years ago. I'd be surprised if there were many students living in trailers at this point.
And why are Bama fans so touchy about the Roll Tide tires anyway?

rodeo
What's trashy about this? Your fans kill each other, poison trees and fight over losses, but Auburn hosts a rodeo. Pretty solid comparison.

AU4real35 is melting more than usual. Get a girl (or partner if that applies) and have some fun.

You know has trashy redneck fans? Alabama.
You know who else has trashy redneck fans? Every other school in the SEC, except maybe Vandy.
There, glad we could clear all this up.

I would say by whatever standard you wanna use to characterize the majority of Bama fans as trashy, it would apply to the majority of all fanbases of all sports teams, and most certainly Auburn
Let's use this Standard. Sexually assault an unconscious member of the same sex on video after a win.
Alabama - yes
All other fan bases - no
Or this standard. Go to opposing schools campus and poison iconic trees because said institutions school beat the school you never attended.
Alabama - yes
Other fan bases no
And finally have enough fans that would actually buy a car tire with the University logo on it to justify making such tire.
Alabama - yes
All other fan bases - no

No Script A, no Crimson?

We need to realign and get back to football, where the rubber meets the road.
To recap, this whole tred is flat. It makes us all tired. We need more balance.
