I would rank W&L and Davidson safely above UNC and William and Mary and more in line with UVA, but that’s splitting hairs.

Sorry to tell you this, but if we’re talking academics, GA Tech is in a tier higher than UGA. Plus, VA Tech is way too low also.

Tech too low

Move A&M and Clemson up and then combine T4 and T5, not enough year-to-year to separate a lot of those schools

Hard compare schools like Rhodes to major universities

Last time I checked, North Carolina was in the south. Did it move and somebody forgot to tell me?

It used to be. Not so much anymore. When you consider you are talking about only Southern schools the gap narrows even more.

Perhaps, you were the wrong person to ask to begin with.

Add Washington and Lee to your Tier 1.

Move Georgia Tech to Tier 2 with an asterisks - if going for Engineering, they are Tier 1 globally. For anything else, they don't belong.

Georgia, UNC, Florida, Texas to Tier 2 with UNC. Im okay with UVA in Tier 1, but they belong with this group.

Davidson to Tier 3 with Richmond, Wake, Tulane and add Furman and move SMU and Sewanee to Tier 3. A&M is probably here as well.

I'm not sure the rest of your schools need to be considered, but I'll make you an Honorable Mention list of schools you did not list.

Honorable Mention
Southwestern
Trinity
Hendrix
Centre
Rollins

Your cousin shouldn’t trust you for advice.

BTW, the UofSC has the #1 Public Honors college and the #1 International Business School in the country.
