Thats false according to the bodycam footage.

And this is not the only incident. Just the most recent and one of the most egregious.

There have been some incidents that were completely wrong, there have also some that have been lumped in that were completely justified such as Michael Brown.

What has rioting and looting ever changed in America?

Holy fricking projection

I love that you willfully remain ignorant while lecturing others about huge issues in our society right now. It’s only a matter of time before it does affect you.

The Tony Timpa video is worse than this one imo and that Somali cop killed a white Australian woman in Minny. Your chances of being killed by a cop while unarmed are the same as being killed by a bee sting no matter your race. There are a lot of a-hole cops, but the notion they're out hunting black men is blatant falsehood peddled to force complete lawlessness

Dont conflate issues.

I didn’t. I said we have issues with racism AND policing. I didn’t say racist policing, though some of the bad officers might be racist.

Plenty of good officers too

Then why do they never speak up or stop the bad ones? It’s crazy that only a few of the police are bad, yet the good ones, the majority according to you, are never there to stop the bad ones. There were 4 cops around George Floyd. How many of the 3 watching their partner kill him do anything? If the “good” police ever held the bad ones accountable, then we wouldn’t have these issues.

Seems like an issue of incompetent elected officials who are supposed to be holding these officers accountable. Atlanta shouldnt burn because Minneapolis is run by morons

You would love to see a white person getting killed by a cop holding a knee to his neck?

FYI, white people are killed by police more than any other race.

That was only part of the encounter.

Ask yourself, why were five officers there to arrest a guy accused of passing off a counterfeit $20 bill?

quote:

Then, Lane and Keung stood Floyd up and attempted to take him to their squad car. Floyd then “stiffened up, fell to the ground and told the officers he was claustrophobic,” the complaint states.
That’s when Officers Chauvin and Tou Thao arrived on the scene in a separate squad car.
After making several attempts to get Floyd in the backseat from the driver’s side, the complaint says Floyd wouldn’t get in and would struggle with the officers by intentionally falling down.

They probably honestly didn't realize he was dying.

You believe they send 5 officers to arrest a guy just because he's black.

Interesting logic.

Ok... you realize the US is 73% white, right? Black ppl are 5 times more likely to be killed by the police than white ppl.

If there are five police officers for one guy, why did they have to hold him down by his neck? Why couldn’t they just put him in the car?

Interesting logic

Its very clear that you have no knowledge about what police deal with every day.

Damn near everyone suffers some malady as they're being arrested, "not being able to breathe" is one of the most common.

Those guys probably hear that all day.
