It’s by distance to nearest FBS school

It's not by fan base.

Counties are allotted by distance to nearest FBS campus.

The GSU counties are closer to Statesboro than they are to Athens.

It's by geographical proximity to the school. That's why the territories out West are so huge. Only one FBS school around.

Yeah, there's still some issues with the map though. Huntsville and North Alabama is more of a Alabama/Auburn/UAB area than it is Vanderbilt (Michigan). Some students do go to Vanderbilt, but it's not overwhelming. Students from this area go everywhere.

It’s Middle Tennessee not Vandy

That has nothing to do with this map.

So the only question I have about this map is if say Team A beats Team B does Team A own all their wins for the rest of the season. Or could Team B regain part of the map with later wins over existing territories.

So I proofread this and it still made sense in my head so hopefully someone gets what I'm putting down.

Or South Lafourche for that matter. This map is suspect at best.

If team A is UNC
Unc currently owns Chapel Hill and Columbia
If Miami beats them, Miami will win those two
If UNC beats them they will not gain anything because Miami doesn’t own anything

Say team A is Auburn and Team B is Oregon.

Auburn beats Oregon so Auburn gets all of the Oregon counties (counties closer to the OU campus than any other FBS campus).

Auburn holds on to those counties until Auburn loses. When Auburn loses, the team that they lose to gets those counties in Oregon. Say Auburn doesn't lose until they go to College Station in 3 weeks. aTm then gets those counties in Oregon, along with the Auburn counties in Alabama.

The only way for Oregon to get those counties back would be to beat the team that holds those counties. Say aTm goes undefeated for the rest of the season and then plays Oregon in the playoffs. Oregon beats aTm, Oregon gets its counties back.

Then it’s probably best not to say that Georgia Southern shouldn’t have accounted for a certain percentage of the state. Probably should know how it works before complaining about it

No I guess what I was asking is if say Oregon, Washington, and Auburn go undefeated until Oregon vs Washington on 9/21.

If Oregon beats Washington does it gets Washington's territories or does Auburn because it beat Oregon earlier in the year

Oregon will just get Washington’s territories

If Washington beats Oregon, they will get Oregon’s territories that they’ve gained since the auburn loss.

Washington will not gain the Counties around Eugene since that’s owned by Auburn

Good lord. That graphic should be on the PoliBoard.

CNN jumped the shark completely once they moved all the news from Atlanta to NYC, and I am not saying this just to be flippant. The last thing this country needed was one more NYC-centric news outlet.

Those people really do look at all of us as Dumbfrickistan.
