Agree and as an lsu fan I pretty much lost respect for him as a player when he did that. Then he goes to the nfl and makes excuses. Sad waste of talent but I guess he is happy he got paid. Thought maybe he would step up with a real team this year but he still just looks like a backup rb at best and lucky to be in the league.

So he made a great decision since he sucks, could have gotten injured in a bowl game, and got paid.
He made the wise decision. He won't get a good contract and possible chance if he gets injured during the season he won't make it long enough to get a pension. Opting out and taking the windfall was the correct business decisiom

This opt out stuff ISO’s stupid. You can have a career ending injury in game 1 of a season just as easy as a bowl game. If a player is a top 15 draft make then ok maybe they have a point in not playing. Unless a player is a top 15 pick though then you should play every snap you can to try and move up the draft board not sit out.
