The article says that the way to recruiting success is branding and lists Clemson as #1 in branding.

Does that mean that Dabo is under performing in his recruiting?
Your last four classes has only had two top 10 finishes, with your best finish at #6.

Kudos that Clemson has been able to play at a very high level, but shouldn't Dabo be recruiting better with the #1 branding school?

Georgia is too high at #4.
Texas, Alabama, ND too low.
Clemson and Oregon too high.

Auburn's brand right now is just 'SEC school'.

The AU symbol combined with navy and orange is instant Auburn recognition. When I see a purple and orange license plate border or flag I usually think faded Auburn signage first, not Clemson. Without the tiger paw I doubt many would associate and orange hat with a "C" on it as Clemson. I'd put FSU, UNC, and Miami well ahead of Clemson in the ACC. Maybe even Virginia with the V and cavalier sword. There's a handful of SEC teams that surpass Clemson. Some national teams with strong brand recognition are Ohio St, USC, Norte Dame and the Stanford "S.". I appreciate you posting that link, I needed a good chuckle this morning.

A national report based on the answers of 224 teenagers?

Totally legit.

Gotcha.

Yea even as a USC alum I think Clemson.

I will give it to them there, they have a unique color combo.

I live in Georgia and don't see many Clemson fans. I do see the occasional faded Auburn signage where the blue looks like purple. That's how they got their colors after all.

Hate responding to this horseshite but the methods used are garbage if they have Alabama at 18. Hell, forget about just football, the school has doubled in size since Saban arrived based on brand...that football largely built

Interesting article. The sample size is small and IMO doesn't really test a variety of people limiting the validity of its findings.

IMO it tells you Dabo...has something that 18 year old men with God given football talent are attracted to and that helps Clemson.

In fairness, that Tiger paw is a large part of their branding, so kind of make his point for him.

When I see orange and blue I typically think of Auburn, if the colors are primarily Blue. if they are primarily orange I do tend to think of Clemson. That may have more to do with being in this part of the country, though.

I actually like their helmets...but very little else. I'm just not very high on purple as a football color for some reason. Combine it with orange and

But that is personal taste.

The University of Pickens County is not the top brand.

Boy, to think, Tillman and his buddies were over here 365 days ago posting Lil Renfroe gifs and boasting about a national title.

Now, a year later, they are boasting about being the Random Website Brand National Champs.

Incredible.

When talking orange, I think more of Tennessee or Texas more than Pickens County. Hell, even Syracuse is up there.

Yeah. Actually this is true, too. But Texas is a different orange. A burnt orange, and I absolutely hate their cowboy hats and fringed uniforms on their band. I don't mind their football uniforms, though.

You can do better than that.

Other than Alabama, who in the SEC wouldn't be strutting around like banty roosters after making the playoffs three straight years and winning it all once.

I believe signing day hinges on finding out what a bunch of teenage boys think is important.
The teenage boys have spoken.

Bragging about making the playoffs > Bragging about branding rankings IMHO
