That explains all of the top ranked recruiting classes being hauled in by Clemson, UCLA, Michigan State, and Wisconsin.

When most people think 'college football' I'd think that means Ohio state, Michigan, Alabama, Texas, USc, notre dame as the 'top brands' but I guess this stuff changes for the younger generations.

Alabama, Texas, Notre Dame, Auburn, Michigan, etc. being behind Michigan State is absurd.

Hate to say it but Dabo and Clemson have done a great job with branding, they have a big presence on Twitter- which is what a lot of these guys care about.

Let's look at it: If this survey of 224 teenage boys was conducted within the past few months, then Michigan St would be a good pick for high brand recognition. They lead SportsCenter almost every day and they have been plastered on the news networks quite a bit.

Anyone with a TV knows there is a buzz around Sparty right now

i can't vouch for any of it except who they got at no. 1.

that seems legit.

thing about Bama is...there are a lot of kids who go there b/c their parents force them to or pressure them to. We saw a kid go against his momma this week to go to Florida. I thought that was great.

when you see Saban on television, does he seem like a person average recruit would want to deal with on regular basis. lol be honest. He's a hardazz. That means those kids's papa bear and mamma bears making the commit decision to Bama, not the kids.

this survey is of kids who are listing their top colleges without any pressure that the elite recruits get.
So these random kids aren't "elite" recruits, but they are voting as if they were an elite recruit with offers from the elite coaches/programs?

But that is personal taste.

I know I'm supposed to hate the colors, which I did as a child, but now as I'm older I really don't care.

And actually like Purple and Orange.

Have quite few pieces of clothing of each.

It's 2018, not going to let a rivalry dictate my life.

Clemson is a curious contradiction of delusions of grandeur and insecurity complexes. They think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread yet can't get over the fact they can't get into the SEC.

Give it up taters, you're not even a little brother, more like that goofy little cousin that no one liked at the family reunion. Of course being taters, family reunions are where you go to pick up women so maybe that ain't the best example.

I never post gifs. I occassionally post pics of Clemson.

I never bragged about anything, just linked to an article.

I rarely brought up Clemson winning the title after Clemson won it. I'm not a bragger especially given I have nothing to do with Clemson football team's success.

I don't put as much emphasis on national titles as most on here.

What a fraud these "rankings" are. They bear no relation to reality.

The AU symbol combined with navy and orange is instant Auburn recognition. When I see a purple and orange license plate border or flag I usually think faded Auburn signage first, not Clemson. Without the tiger paw I doubt many would associate and orange hat with a "C" on it as Clemson. I'd put FSU, UNC, and Miami well ahead of Clemson in the ACC. Maybe even Virginia with the V and cavalier sword. There's a handful of SEC teams that surpass Clemson. Some national teams with strong brand recognition are Ohio St, USC, Norte Dame and the Stanford "S.". I appreciate you posting that link, I needed a good chuckle this morning.

I'm skeptical that a lot of people outside of the south would immediately know AU is Auburn. But I think most college football fans are familiar with every team's logo.

You rarely see purple on Clemson stuff and Clemson's uniforms, apparel etc doesn't look similar to Auburn.

AUburn color scheme is actually a ripoff of UVA's.

I think branding is a good bit more than recognition of uniforms and apparel and logos.

There have been some Clemson fans on here that say I'm an embarrassment to the Clemson fanbase. I call them True Clemson Fans.

I looked at his post history and he was gushing over the UNC-DUke game last night.
