I'm surprised there are no other SEC teams. Congrats though. Nice ranking.

I’d love to see LSU add a team. We have some strong high school teams in NOLA and other parts of LA. Obviously nothing on the level of the elite Mid west schools, but it’s still a fantastic sport. Those guys are animals, I don’t care what they wear.

Muscular college men in tight spandex grappling with each other and pinning each other to the floor... Definitely in Missouri's wheelhouse

When you put it that way, I'm rather surprised Aggie doesn't have a wrestling team.

Also. Why do you guys not wrestle? Too worried about messing up those floppy haircuts?

Title IX. We had teams in the 80s

Almost certainly not going to happen as long as the conference is part of the NCAA. If, and that is a huge if, SEC schools added a new men's program anytime soon it would be men's soccer, and even that is a longshot.

Kentucky and South Carolina both have men's soccer teams.

Wrestling sucks though and I don't have a problem with us not having a team.

I went to nearly all the Alabama matches in Tuscaloosa in the 60s and 70s. Alabama had a pretty good program back when the SEC was involved. I particularly remember John Hannah(All American and perennial All Pro O-lineman) and Jim Krapf(All American center) both wrestling for Alabama in the super heavy class. Coach Bryant wouldn't allow the wrestling coach to let them wrestle each other. They alternated matches. Hannah was undefeated after his freshman year, but quit to concentrate on football. I always thought that Coach Bryant made him so he wouldn't have to worry about him wrestling Krapf.

College wrestling is an elite sport and it’s a shame the SEC would never embrace it. Big 10 tourney and March Matness are two of the best sporting events in collegiate athletics
Amen!...I can't think of a sport that trains is athletes as hard as wrestling...they work their ases off! It's a GREAT sport, and one that requires every aspect of athleticism.
