Beard will be at OM less than 3 years.

He will get them to the tournament and maybe win a game or two. His image will get better after a few years then he will go to a top 25 job.

OM is basically like him going to a mid major

Went to go look at 2013 to see how it's changed in the last 10 years. From AthlonSports

Dennis Gates is new so I guess I’ll take it but I don’t like him just being one spot ahead of Golden.

Almost hard to believe Donovan was that low in 2013. Had won 2 national titles, been to another championship final. 2013 would have been the 3rd straight E8 finish. The next year we'd go 36-3 and get the #1 overall seed.

My argument - Missouri has had a more incompetent AD performance over the basketball program for the last 25 years than any AD over any athletic program in NCAA history over a 25 year period.

Summary - After Norm Stewart stepped down we ultimately passed on the number 1, 3, 6, and 15 on this list though the years having each as a willing finalist.

In 1999 Mizzou had Bill Self and Calipari campaigning for the job to replace Norm and were the finalists. Alden decided to risk it all on a Duke assistant Quin Snyder. Who soon *allegedly* developed a coed and substance habit and got canned. LINK

After Quin implodes in 2006 we take UAB’s Mike Anderson. A solid hire for a team needing a rebrand. Mike leveraged Mizzou every season, finally Alden quit, though his teams were starting to click.

In 2011 After Suitcase Mike left for Arkansas, Mizzou had the jet fired up for Matt Painter. He leveraged Mizzou for $1,000,000 more at the airport to get on the plane (a press conference was already called) and Alden Declined! Choosing Frank Haith over #15 on the list. LINK .

In 2015 It was well known in Columbia that Kelvin Samson had interest and a booster lined up the $ to get him to Mizzou. The joke of an administration was afraid of the bad look of following up Sanctions Frank Haith with another unclean coach and went so spotless they passed on the #3 on the list and hired Kim Anderson a career D2 coach.

Hopefully Gates climbs this list in the years to come because it has been a torturous 25 years of kicking ourselves in the nuts. MIZ - OUCH.
