Yes, it's always better to let things fester instead of nipping it in the bud. Please.
That tank tweet is hilarious!

holy shite. The university dropped the boom on them via twitter.

Yes and trashing the University that you play for and telling all recruits that Arkansas will not take care of you is certainly the best response. Only at a crumbling program with no leadership would a player send a tweet like that and expect no consequences.
Careful Monticello, Oklahogjr has Bama - Arky as next season's "Game of the Century". You don't want to go providing bulletin board material this far in advance of game week.

I agree with this. As long as they can keep it in control it seems stupid to take it away.

good point. Why the frick would a school use twitter to respond to student athletes? Use the school email!

Yeah, b/c I'm sure Cobi would have then tweeted "oops, my bad, actually the school didn't mess up and I was just being an ignorant, bitch of an attention whore."
It was good to get the correct info on the players' pages from a reputable source so everyone, including reporters and recruits, could see the truth.

Ding ding ding. Like I said before......this thread, started by an Auburn fan, is a perfect example of what they were trying to nip in the bud quickly and waiting around hoping that Cobi and company would check their email with a quickness was a bad idea. I think the compliance department handled the situation perfectly.

doesn't mean the school had to make it worse. it's ok if we disagree.

I don't understand why it's so difficult to comprehend that Cobi put that info out there for the world to see so it needed to be refuted publicly but yes we can disagree.
