These are coaches that have the recruiting prowess and coaching minds to compete with and ultimately beat Saban in the next coming years until he submits to retirement.

Dabo
Lincoln Riley
Dan Mullen(potentially)
Tom Herman

Statistically, Gus has to be on that list too.

Sure. Now 2-2 against Saban and has the best case of the bunch.

We need to see vast defensive improvement before we make this claim.

Dan Mullen

Nah. He had something like 10 chances against Saban at MSU and never could win a game. I don't see it.

Has proven nothing. Make a playoff first, to even begin a discussion.

2 years ago Urban Meter would have been on this list. 4 years ago Harbaugh and AUs coach. In 2011 Les Miles... The list keep changes and Saban keeps rolling. Can't win them all but we will continue to win more than most.

Kirby has a better case than anyone except Dabo.

Whether Orgeron can beat Saban is yet to be seen, but I can guarantee you that IF LSU wins the SECW next season, it will be a sure sign that Nick is on the way out. Getting challenged by a coach in the same division would have a much bigger impact than guys he may or may not run into in the playoffs or SECCG.

BTW, Nobody is scared of Lincon Riley or Tom Herman.

Will need more than Offense

Agree. He got MSU to #1 a few years ago...MSU. He will be able to get a hell of a lot better players than he had at MSU

Tom Herman

Potentially, still has a lot to prove

Lincoln has the best player in the country two years in a row and still couldn’t take down UGA or Bama

Orgeron won't beat Saban. He doesn't have the program to do so.

You just keep thinking that. Miles did it with the same program. Now that O has some momentum, he will get the support and resources he needs to be successful. We'll find out petty soon if he is able to take advantage of it.
