Who doesn't want that in qb? My point is, those things are just not good enough to beat THIS Bama team. Qb's have to be able to make things happen when things completely break down against us. Harris had the potential to be that guy, but the light never came on.
You're clueless. Their may be 5 or 6 times a game where a QB in our system can make a play with his feet when nothing is there. Etling is more than capable. He did it twice on the final drive against Auburn running for 12 yards on 2nd and 10 from the LSU 35 and again running for 18 yards on 3rd and 8 getting to the Auburn 27. You are obviously confusing Etling with Zach Mettenberger and Brandon Harris with Lamar Jackson.

More important than that too. You sacked Arkansas's QB 7 times and he still threw for 400 yards even after giving it away 5 times.
Get down 35-10 and y'all can throw for as many yards as y'all want on this not dominant Alabama defense.

Harris' talent is overrated. His arm isn't as good as advertised--Russell, Mett, and Perrilloux all had stronger arms. Harris is on par with Flynn, Lee, and Jefferson as far as pure arm strength: above average.
Jefferson was a better runner than Harris.
Etling has better accuracy, better mechanics, better pocket presence, better accuracy, and a better knowledge of the offense. Unless its a deep ball competition or a foot race, I'd take Etling over Harris every single day.

The team did get lax on Arky and def shouldn't have, Saban was pissed. Notice they didn't do that the next game or the one after that. It's called fixing issues as the season progresses. This defense will be after Etling, that's a fact and your OL is average. I'd be worried about that and my worry is our ability to put some good running offense against y'all.

You do know Bama was up big against Arkansas and let off the gas. Arkansas also has the best QB in the SEC and the best OC. They execute at a high level offensively. They put up some empty stats at the end of a blow out.
Against Ole Miss Reuben Foster, Eddie Jackson, and Minkah Fitzpatrick all went out in the 4th qtr after a 45-6 Bama run to take over the game. Shyheim Carter had no business on the field in that type game. Ole Miss converted an on-side kick a converted some desperation throws in the last 4 mins.
Ole Miss also dropped 43 on Bama last year. Bama's defense last year was also other worldly.
I can't understand how you don't comprehend what's about to happen on Saturday to LSU's offensive line.
The Bama front is 1st against the run and leads the nation in sacks. The linebackers are better than last year and this team rushes the passer better than last year.
Harris probably has a better chance for success than Etling based on his mobility and his ability to drive the ball down the field with velocity.

The light hasn't come on and will never come on. He doesn't have mental capacity to read defenses.

Etling is a much better qb. Ya Harris has a bigger arm and athleticism but Etling is so much more poised in the pocket and he's much smarter. He's tougher than he looks as well

Harris always freaked me out cause he had so much raw talent. If the light finally came on, he was going to be a nightmare. With the way LSU's new coordinator started opening the offense up, he could have really thrived when not only being asked to throw on third down.
You're saying what LSU fans said prior to having a body of work to look at. Harris has arm talent and is mobile, meaning he has the gifts to be a dynamic playmaker. But he doesn't make good decisions, reads, progressions, etc and he struggles to throw with accuracy in the short and medium game. Harris made touch throws look like pulling teeth.
It's always possible that Harris could have some sudden transformational awakening but I honestly don't see it happening.

I'm sorry you can't handle that.
Arkansas and Ole Miss scored very easily on that defense. I'm sorry you didn't see or accept it.
LSU's defense is every bit as talented as Bama...eat extra large buckets of shite on that one.
