Now this is a bit of fake news here because you are leaving out his full quote. As I recall the what he said was "Players come to LSU to beat Bama, and they leave having learned how to embrace failure."
It was actually quite philosophical. Coach O was trying to teach his players that sometimes in life you're going to wind up sucking hind tit and there is nothing wrong with that.

Coach O shouldn't mention Alabama again until the week prior to Bama vs LSU in 2019. Why bring attention to a team that owns you? Just not smart.
