It's not that he's the greatest right now, he has the potential to be. He's made big time plays as a freshman and sophomore. Imagine what he does with an NFL quality workout everyday.

That's fair. On the flip side sometimes these athletic freaks max out their potential early. He has had an NFL body since High School.

If any NFL GM chooses Bridgewater over Clowney they should be fired.

Is he really that transcendent?

Okay, fair enough, didn't mean to sound like I'm drooling over him. I refute claims like Clowney is unblockable, but you can't deny that he's a physical specimen and a gifted playmaker.

I see it this way: Jarvis Jones leads the nation in sacks, TFL, FF (in only 12 games) and took over many games singlehandedly but was still overshadowed by Clowney really does speak volumes about his raw talent. I see no indication that he's slowing down.

Depending on the team's need. I'll go with Bridgewater, usually if you're picking #1 your'e in desperate need of a QB. I'll say the top pick will be the raiders, bills, jags, browns, jets or rams. All those save the Rams will be going QB. If they go 2-14 or 3-13.

I think Bridgewater is pretty damn good

Haha of course you do. I also think he is "pretty damn good" but not great or number one pick worthy. I do not think he is in the league of RGIII or Luck but this is just my opinion. We will see but im not convinced good numbers in the big east throwing it 50 times a game says that much.(I know he played well against florida) Im not even sure he is the best QB in the draft.

While I think that Clowney is the better player I think Bridgewater will go first. If you look back these past couple of years the team with the first pick typically has had a bad situation at qb. No team with qb troubles is gonna pass on someone like Bridgewater or whatever top qb there is even for a sure fire prospect like Clowney.

Qb is just way to important now to pass up on.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Clowney hype dies down by next year either. I mean, it really only skyrocketed after that hit against Michigan, a hit that took no particular measure of skill or talent.

I think we should wait until a couple games are played, maybe Week 2 we can decide on the Heisman and #1 pick

It depends on what the team that picks first needs more, a pass rusher or a QB.

A healthy Clowney is one of the very few absolutely sure things I have seen in 40 years of watching.
