Dabo to the Raiders

Might be his best option, career and legacy-wise.

Clemson probably wins the bowl, so still finish with a 10 win season. With practically zero returning staff (including Venables, who's huge), and a new AD, you're looking at trouble coming. A move to the Raiders means he skips that stage, and the Raiders aren't a terrible team. He could be a playoff contender there.

If he fails in the NFL, it's not the same as crumbling in college, so that makes him a big name to chase if/when he goes back.

Kelly at Notre Dame is the only guy recently who was able to rebuild a program twice, right? I know they dropped to .500 once in the middle of his run, but he got it back up to 10-11 wins again. I don't think anyone else has survived cratering like that. Dabo might want to get out before it happens to him.

Yes he’s gotten very very lucky with staff staying . Yet to be seen if he can reload like Saban

It's certainly fair to see if Dabo can reload but to say he's going to fail as several have said is stupid.

Dabo's got a few things working for him:

1. He pays his staff really well and treats them well. Many of his coaches wouldn't leave for the quick buck because he created an environment where coaches want to stay until they feel good about the net job. Venables turned down a few good jobs before he landed what he wanted.

2. The ACC isn't exactly a murders row right now. Dabo will have no problem being back on top net year.

As has been mentioned, how Dabo handles all of the changes with the transfers and NIL will define if he can rebuild.

Now they gonna be reminded this is how todays college football works! If they can’t rebuild then they will be back to mediocrity

That's some next-level insight.

So what you are saying is 50 year old Dabo with 2 Natty's, 6 CFP appearances, several BCS Bowl wins can't reload a coaching staff that all left because of the success his program created?

Dabo has been fortunate to have a staff that hung around like Supreme Court justices. This is going to be a complete culture change. Who knows how it can turn out?

Clemson will be fine. Dabo is a cornball who I think represents all that is wrong with mixing religion and sports, but he's a hell of a coach and recruiter. Clemson won't miss a beat in my mind, and I say this as someone who would give a limb or two to beat them in football.

Along with the coaches, Dabo had 3 decommitts this week, four and five stars. Only has about 10 commits current. The ACC is getting better and do not fear Clemson anymore. Dabo has not used the portal for anything. His arcane rule of no official visits to Clemson by any recruits out of season is hurting him. He better change but even if he does he’s in recovery mode moving forward. Clemson is done for the immediate future.

Miami was a fluke in the 80s, most kids don’t what to play in front of 10-15k fans 9 out if 12k games.

My old buddy at Florida used to tell me they worked hard to get recruits they were fighting over to go to any game that wasn’t Miami FSU, florida or some huge matchup so they could see how mad it sucks
