How can Scar be Clemson's best opponent when we play teams who beat Scar?

The fact that you feel the need to show up week after week to try and prove how much better Clemson is than everyone else tells me more than your link.

Damn...Auburn only team in top 25 in the top 10 in SOS. Props

I think most Clemson fans agree that unless something crazy happens, Clemson is out with any loss.
And we are not saying that Clemson's schedule is amazing. It is just being pointed out that up to this point, Clemson's schedule is no different than LSU's, Alabama's and Ohio States'. They are all pretty mediocre. That will change for those three schools over the next 4 weeks and Clemson's schedule will continue to be mediocre.
I think the problem is that if you asked your average fan what has been the SOS of LSU/Bama and what has been the SOS of Clemson - the average fan would say LSU's SOS is top 20 and Clemson's SOS is not in the top 80. Clemson could beat every remaining opponent by 40 points (including UofSC) and SEC fans would say they don't belong.
Well I have to disagree, LSU's schedule is not mediocre. Alabama, Auburn and Florida just in conference, Texas is a good OOC win given there 5-2 record (2 losses are to OU and LSU). I would argue that Texas A&M, at 4-3 is probably the best team Clemson has played up to now. Looking at your schedule, the 2nd best team might actually be South Carolina.
I think you are going off ESPN's FPI index. What I use to like about the old BCS power rankings is it took who you beat (W-L record) and then factored in who the teams you beat "Beat" and who the teams you beat, loss to, etc, etc, It ran iterations of every W-L on your record and every iteration of who those teams beat or loss to, and then, who those teams, beat or loss to. I remember the final SOS records for the 2003 BCS that caused USC to drop out was that Notre Dame Lost to Syracuse and Boise State defeated Hawaii, that caused USC's SOS to drop enough for LSU to overtake them. Now had margin of victory been left in the 2003 formula, OU would have been knocked out since they lost 35-7 to KSU in Big 12 title game.
I am not saying I am in favor of going back to BCS, but I liked who the SOS took in many more factors other than just W-L records, etc.

So Aggies or Tarheels was Clemson's biggest win this year?
Posted on 10/21/19 at 2:10 pm to JKChesterton
We've already beat a team who beat Scar, so there's no way that cupcake is our 2nd best win
Posted on 10/21/19 at 2:10 pm to CivilTiger83
except you were a two point conversion away from losing to UNC
.....but yes go ahead and assume you could even come close to beating everyone by 40, i mean you do still have to play Wake Forest at the end of the year, they soooo good!!

Clemson's schedule is trash. I would argue that LSU's and Alabama's is as well to date. LSU has the best argument, but it isn't much of one

Clempson is just too damn good

I said might be your best win by years end. I think SCAR is definitely the best team left on your schedule, that is based on where the teams are right now.

holy shite, really? because all the teams you play suck, so take your pick. Okay call it UNC was your toughest game of the year, congrats you got by the Tar heels!

It will be funny when you guys don't get into the playoffs even after going undefeated and winning your conference.

At this point, none of the top unbeaten teams has a SOS inside of the Top 30. That will change going forward... we are talking about as of TODAY.

Your privilege to post about football has been revoked since the team you pull for lost to Scar.
And it's "too" not "to"
