My guess is that either the first or third base umpire saw his right foot (which was beside the plate) and in their judgment was also a bit past the front of the plate and called it. It’s very close on the replay.

I think he is saying that the Michigan fans are more tolerant of sub-par records than LSU’s fans are. They tolerated years of disappointment from Harbaugh before he FINALLY won a NC. LSU fans would never wait that long on a coach.
