how has the SEC been a tough path if Alabama rarely loses in it.

I was talking about the late 80's during the first expansion. But to answer your question, Bama has been the most exceptional team in the country the last 10 years. To win the SEC you have to win the division. In the west case LSU seems to be Bama's biggest test. If Bama can continue the remarkable win streak against the always talented LSU Tigers, then they have to deal Auburn, an instate rival and a top 10 team. Then if they get past them they have to beat the east winner, most likely UGA. So just to win the SEC Bama has to beat 3 top 10 teams. One at home, one on the road and one on a nuetral site. Let me ask you this. How many top 10 teams does Clemson have to beat to win the ACC?

you always go back to rankings but the reality is if you are truly playing great teams, your team would lose more.

At least two of Bama's SEC title games were against offensively challenged Florida teams.

you guys make it sound like SEC teams are the Patriots or something. i haven't been seeing that movie when I watch them.

Florida just squeaked out a win against an unranked Miami team this year starting a freshman QB and not a very good O line.

The entire ACC is offensively challenged so what’s your excuse Clemson?

"Many SEC team fans including Alabama fans seem bitter about their team being in the SEC and Clemson being in the ACC.

It would be pretty weird for Clemson fans to want to move over to that.

why would SEC fans want to take on another good program if you believe the conference is already stacked.

i assume it is b/c you want a monopoly on the playoff spots."

Maybe because we like to watch competitive football.

if you like competitive football why do you complain so much when your team loses.

I like #Winning. Can only beat teams on your schedule.

If you look at Clemson scores going back the last 10 years, a lot of close wins.

The Watson natty year, Clemson had tight games with NCSU, Lville, FSU, and some other games weren't that easy.

Speak for yourself - I think we’d be fine playing your soft SEC East schedule- we already curb stomped your toughest opponent s Notre Dame and SCar last year. The rest of the East is mediocre at best.

since there a 130 teams, ranking are the way we judge college teams, Bama's achievements over the last 10 has never been matched in modern college football, that is how rare it is. I think you are displaying willful ignorance if you can;t see that. Bama won half of the national titles in a 10 year period. Think about that.

and to get to UF, Bama had to beat at least two top 10 teams in the division, so this point is moot

Bama is like the Patriots of college football, but nobody is saying Bama would beat the Patriots, all we are saying is the truth that obvious to everybody but you, that SEC is harder to win than the ACC, the Big 12, the Big 10, or the Pac 12. To deny this is to deny reality.

LSU hasn't been competing with Alabama.

I think most football people rather watch the Clemson-Lville and Clemson-FSU game from Waton's natty year than LSU lose by a wide margin to Alabama.

Last year in the ACC is not the norm.

No, we need to drop MiZzzou, slide Barn to the East and pick up Oklahoma and NC State.

If we must expand, that is.

We are playing ND Sat night. Who has Clemson played? Who will they play? The delicate ladies of the ACC. While UGA will play an SEC schedule. In case you aren’t aware the SEC has 3 of the top 5 ranked teams and others making up the latest poll. Of course y’all have Ga Tech AKA the 404 - A real powerhouse!! Lol

I don't think it is harder.

You don't consistently win in the ACC without being really good.

Clemson fans know this.

The ACC didn't suck the way it does now back then. I would have rated them #2 conference minimum that year, with a good argument for #1.

Now you are #4 and that's just because the Pac12 is absolute shite.

New members must be voted on by representatives of all SEC schools and the vote must be unanimous. The perception being that playing in the sec helps with in state recruiting against a non SEC in state rival. Now a good coach like Dabo can make up for this, however the other school in the state will never likely be willing to give up their recruiting advantage. In other words Clemson would be "Cock blocked".

It's not just us.

Florida, Georgia and Kentucky would vote along with us .... wanna know why?

And in addition to that, Clemson wouldn't add anything to this conference in terms of prestige. They are not a Flagship University. They have no great schools within their university that stands out. They hate women's sports. They were founded by and worship a well known historically nefarious racist (look ot up) and they are well known sheep humping sister bangers.

So no, they will never be a member of the SEC and, even then, they're shots at Championships would be over the day they were admitted into this conference.

yes I don't care about rankings...i think they are biased to SEC.

Kentucky and Florida were trash last year and highly ranked. Eye test don't lie.

Clemson has higher academic rankings than SC and is a major engineering/architecture/science college in the country.

UofSC isn't a flagship. The state of SC does not have a state wide public university system.

The other public colleges are independent of UofSC.

nobody at Clemson hates women's sports. you make stuff up. lol

There is little interest in watching the ACC. Just look how the ACC network had to literally beg companies to carry it. Many still don’t and won’t.
