Personally I don't think Dabo will go to Bama. He has it made at Clemson now and can pretty much write his own ticket. Following Saban is going to be a thankless task and I get the feeling one of Sabans assistants will be promoted up. Just a guess by me

I think it will be easier for Clemson to replace Dabo and continue with their success than it will be for Dabo to continue with Saban's success.

I think it's much more likely that Alabama gets Lincoln Riley than Dabo.

Alot of Dabo's success was built on raiding GA recruits out from under Richt. Assuming Kirby shuts that down, Clemson could be on a slow stead tDecline. Fanbase memories are short. After a few years without winning, especially if Muschamp takes over the state, they'll run him off. But by then, Bama may not even want him. There could be some other hot shot badass out there with better stock than Dabo, at that point in the future.

guess they didn’t allow Danny Ford to cheat either.
Or Dabo to cheat now
OR Charlie Pell before Danny

"Nick Saban couldn't have done what Dabo has at Clemson because we wouldnt allow him to cheat"
This is funny because you could change the school name to Georgia and coach's name to Smart and it would be a delusional Uga fan.

Please tell me this is an actual quote
I was paraphrasing, they implied that either saban wouldnt have been hire there, or if he was he wouldnt be allowed to cheat, this is the actually quote:
quote:
Imo, Saban could not have done what Dabo has done here without cheating. One qualification for coaching at Clemson since the fiasco in the 1980s was integrity. They didn't have to be good coaches but they had to be honest.

Finebaum really scared that fan base lol. Many of the fans are trying to convince themselves that Dabo would never come to Alabama after Saban.
WTF do they freak out about this shite. It is YEARS down the road and no one knows what the landscape will be then. Ridiculous.

The baseless accusation against Saban followed with the baseless assumption about Clemson.

Also they see themselves as a dynasty but don’t you have to win at least 2 NC’s to be considered a dynasty?

Agreed if the right hire would fall into our lap. If schools like Florida, Tennessee, Ohio State, and Miami can fall off when they lose a top coach, so can Clemson.
As a Clemson fan, I love watching my Tigers be a top 5 program, but know that these are good times that won't last forever. Savor the good times.

Oh boy. How delusional. In fairness, anybody who believes that any of the big time schools are 100% honest and are 100% above bending the rules to win is probably kidding themselves.

crazy how much this topic comes up on here.
I would say Bama fans are freaking out about Saban leaving b/c all they seem to think about is who is their next coach is going to be.

It's May. The only football related thing to talk about is the future.

Ok...it seems weird to me that people who aren't Clemson fans are looking at Tigernet. lol The majority of Clemson fans are not on tigernet.
Then there's the Citadel guy in Utah talking about Newspring church. Why is he thinking about Newspring Church and Clemson.
There are multiple churches in Clemson. what is the obsession with New Spring church.
