Finebaum really scared that fan base lol. Many of the fans are trying to convince themselves that Dabo would never come to Alabama after Saban.

Depending on how the departure unfolds, if it ever happens, it wouldn’t be a shock. Meyer did resign from Florida, but basically left for his dream job at Ohio State. Same could be for Dabo.

they need to get off their moral high horse
"Nick Saban couldn't have done what Dabo has at Clemson because we wouldnt allow him to cheat"

Will not click that link and risk getting sheephumper AIDS ... but will type, I hope they all drink the Jonestown Koolaid when he leaves.
My bet is that he will never end-up at Tuscaloosa because he'll be busted for cheating prior to his chance and will subsequently be labeled a Show Cause Coach.

I guess they didn’t allow Danny Ford to cheat either.

Question- if a whole student body widely thought to be 100 percent freaks, looses it, can it realistically be called “freaking out” as if it were abnormal behavior? Or is that behavior just poster-child actions that define what “freaking out” means?

Geez.
I have no hatred for Dabo, nor love.
But what he does is effective. I'm sure he would recruit well anywhere, but he has it the way he wants it now.
He makes plenty of money. I have never heard anything to the effect he or his family is unhappy living in Clemson.
Congratulations. He won life. Don't fix it. Keep doing what you are doing until it doesn't work anymore. - Not even to go back to Alabama. You can find a new home, and it looks like he has.
Only possible fly in the ointment I can see, is there sure seems like a pattern for coaches to kind of peter out if they stay at a certain job about ten years.
But sometimes it just keeps on working, and I haven't seen a single sign that's the case with him there.

Oh I love how they think Clemson is a family with a heart whereas Alabama is just a heartless machine. Also they see themselves as a dynasty but don’t you have to win at least 2 NC’s to be considered a dynasty?

My only question is when Dabo moves to Tuscaloosa, will Newspring Church open a campus there?

Gotta love their passion for CU/Dabo.
But if and when Alabama calls, well, he gone!

I will say this in the taterheads' favor ... Dabo just built a palace up there, moved-in last year I think it was. $3.8 million or something like that. And he is treated like a god up there ... could get his peen slurped in the middle of Clemson Blvd by any farmer he sees just by pointing to them and then pointing to the ground in front of him whilst pulling down his zipper with the other hand ... and they would give him time to draw a crowd to watch.
He would be an absolute fool to leave that place and try to fill Saban's shoes (rhetorically speaking because Saban wears a boy's size 5). But anyways, once Dabo got to Bama and realized he is no longer playing Wake Forest and Duke and UNC and Boston College and NC State and even FSU lately for that matter ... he would be bitch slapped back into reality in short order about the first time he loses three games in a season and some angry Bama fan leaves a burning paper bag sack of crap burning on his mansion steps ... he'd regret going to Bama. And that's no knock on Bama. They have high standards and Saban has rightfully spoiled the helloutta them. They're Fricking Alabama by God ... they own that.
But Dabo would be a frickin' egocentric fool to think he could slide right into Saban's knickers and do what Saban has done ... and Dabo is just not that foolish.
Danny Ford has already explained to him how it all works up there.
Dabo is not going anywhere.

Honestly, I don't think those posters have much to worry about. Bama's next HC is likely to be an assistant that was a HC-in-waiting. An assistant aiming for the stars has less to lose than an established HC with lots of success under his belt when the inevitable failure to live up to Saban's legacy hits home. Dabo has way too much to lose by trying to follow Saban. If he coached at College of Charleston or something, sure. But going from a successful career at an upper-echelon program to trying to follow Saban? He'd be insane. The Bama job is attractive. The maintaining-expectations-post-Saban job isn't. His replacement will, as with the Bear, almost certainly be a legacy, someone who learned the game under him.

Dabo would be stupid to take the Bama job.
At Clemson he's the guy who took them to their 1st NC in 34 years.
At Bama he'd be the guy following a coach who won multiple national championships, and would be expected to not have a letdown.
Stay at Clemson. Let somebody else be the guy who followed Saban. Then follow that guy.
