OC Steve Ensminger admitted, post game, that with the weather, sloppy from rain, and the way LSU's defense was playing, LSU went conservative, i.e. more running plays vs passes, especially in the red zone.And still rang up 500 + yards in total offense, 321 yards passing. Elite? A great front 4, of course. bama with a back up QB scored, what, 40+?

People keep saying this but a wet field helps the O more than the D. The O players know where they are going. The D players don't. What Auburn did that day was shut down LSU in the red zone.
