Alabama had lost at least 5-7 starters during the 2018 season. Alabama has had bad luck the last 3 years with starters being injured. While that really is no excuse because Alabama should win every game, it is the truth.

Yeah, and Nebraska broke Coach Bryant in 1971, Coach Bryant was never the same.
If anything, the revolving door for assistant coaches at Alabama needs fixing. The assistant coaches are going on to be head coaches, and that has hurt Alabama more than anything. Alabama is a victim of its own success.
However, IMO, what it has done as well is to drive Coach Saban to not retire very soon. I was saying that he would retire in 2022, now I believe that he will retire after Alabama wins 2 more NC (and he still might retire in 2022)

No team will win every game, however as Alabama is usually the better team, they should win. That is the mindset and the reason why Alabama is so successful.
