Pete Carroll didn't have a QB in place when he took over Seattle and he found a franchise QB in Russell Wilson in the third round. Saban would never have been able to find a Russell Wilson in a million years.

Exactly. That's why they need to protect him and let the game come to him. They can do that by letting the RBs carry more of the offensive load.

I think Davis (the other Butch) is correct about Clemson studying this year's TSIO. I've seen them execute a lot of what worked for us while avoiding many of our mistakes. I also think they have better depth and are getting a much better performance from their WR corps. They may be able to pull this off as long as they don't wear down.
