a&m is the largest dress up school in the sec.

Here's a bet, Arkansas will pass A&M on that list in the next year or two.
Then we can say something like 42-24, 4-0 or 43-24, 5-0 plus more all time wins.

quote:Not when the schools you are ahead of include Missouri, Kentucky, Vandy, MSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Arkansas. Each of those schools has always had and continues to have significant disadvantages over a school like aTm.
You are 7th out of 14 school and pretty far behind 6th place UF.
Pretty remarkable considering we were a small, all-male military school until around 1970!

I didn't think the SEC would have many people who would mock one of the largest producers of military personnel in the country.

By "big school" I mean a school with a top 15 fan base. That type of school wins a LOT, and A&M has most certainly not been one of those schools, ever, until recently. Arkansas is not one of those schools.
I so can't wait to thrash these douche bags this year. You start a OP about clearing up some misconception about aTm but can't make it through without trying to flame Arkansas. I'm so glad some of you faggies are starting to show the rest of the SEC what any Arkansas fan old enough to remember the old SWC already knew. Your biggest misconception was thinking anyone gives a shite!

FSU was a womens school til 1947. 40 years later they were one of the most dominant football programs in the country.
We are at year 42 for A&M. You can be proud, but come on, it isn't that remarkable.

My apologies. I pasted the wrong thing. Have corrected. It gets under my skin when people come on here and start talking stupid shite that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, whether it be Auburn fans, Arkansas fans, LSU, whoever. But at least when that non-sense does occur it is an attempt to prove how good they think their team is. Not to make excuses for how much they suck.

I want to have a rivalry with aTm because I just think they are pompous morons.
Seriously aTm... Why do you have to keep trying to bring up silly points that make you're past look better? Don't even try... Just win games. If you win games in the SEC you will get respect. All this trying to prove you belong doesn't help.

We want to continue our rivalry with you jackholes
And I agree--the bottom line is, for whatever number of reasons, A&M has underachieved to this point. Doesn't mean the future will be dictated by our past, but we're at the big boy table now--win or stfu, as far as I'm concerned.

There is the misconception that A&M has long had large-school resources. There is the misconception that historic rivalries were fought on the grounds of equal resources. And there is the misconception that A&M is not currently, in terms of fan base, on par with the more successful SEC schools. The following information should clear those up:
And we have long had large school resources. They were top 3 throughout our journey in the SWC, and in the Big 12 were number 4 behind tu, OU, and Nebraska. You are imagining a misconception.
We don't currently have the resources of the more successful SEC schools. We don't have the t-shirt fan bases they do, a stadium as big, or the athletic budget. We have students, sure, but so does Arizona State and so does Minnesota. You are imagining a misconception.

Not really. That was 40 years ago, and those all-male Old Army Ags weren't incapable of having kids, in fact when they did, they had to branch out and take other fan bases underneath them.

Yes, more Ag on Ag violence. This how these threads inevitably end.

Yeah, I really don't care about any of that stuff.
Congrats?
