That confession came far later in the game. The stories started by many were done with a lot less than photos. Understand I in no way agree with stories like this blowing up without real facts. Just making a point on how the Cam deal all started was similar.

Two things.
1) You mess with the bull, you're gonna get the horns.
2) That Counsel on Call thing is brillant. I don't have the need to get involved, but I damn sure wish I had thought of the idea. Oh, and woman-owned enterprise FTW.

back when brooks, thamel, schad et al were writing hit pieces, misquoting facts of the story, making assumptions, etc. bama fans were gleeful about the nagative attention towards and Cam
the only fact known right now that is not from an unamed source is that $$ was obviously discussed between Cecil and Miss St (Rogers) - there is nothing to show the Cecil solicited the $ or shopped Cam - it is just as likely that Rogers approached Cecil and Cecil listened to the crap
But now we have pictures of bama players signing stacks of jerseys, pictures wearing more suits than I have and I am an attorney, having dinner with middle aged men and "there is nothing to see here'
The proof of the benefits may be hard to come by but you are being naive if you think that these kids signed jerseys out of the goodness of their heart
What needs no proof isthese kids did violate the rule permitting their name to be used for promotions, etc - only a bama fan could claim otherwise
