This thread is for civilized discussion ONLY, I know the board has been filled with trolls, but I wanted to have some real input.
Bama O vs LSU D
Clearly Bama has the advantage at QB, I don't think I've ever seen a QB that literally has never come close to being stopped like Tua has. Even the great Johnny Football was shut down by D.J. Welter and the 2013 John Chavis defense. It will be interesting to see how Tua responds to facing the LSU DBs. I am highly anticipating the matchup between Jeudy and Greedy. I don't think he has been tested like this all year. The weakness of the secondary is John Battle, who, despite being tied for third in the nation in INTs, has had difficulty both in coverage and tackling. He will need to have the game of his life if we want to slow the Bama O down. Also, I am interested to see who Aranda plugs in in place of D White for the first half. It expect Patrick Queen, Michael Divinity, Micah Baskerville and maybe even JaCoby Stevens to see some time in this roll. Bama needs to attack these weaknesses early and often. If LSU finds a way to make it a close game or even be in the lead at half, it will get interesting when White returns to the game.
LSU O vs Bama D
Same as its been seemingly forever: LSU needs good QB play to stay in it. We can't run it up the gut every time because if it didn't work with LF7 and Guice, why in tf would it work with Brossette and Edwards-Helaire? LSU is going to need to take advantage of their big receivers such as Sullivan (6'7), Anderson (6'6), Chase, Jefferson, and Marshall who could all be potential match up nightmareS. If I see another end zone fade route to Derrick Dillon, the shortest of all our receivers, I think I might kms. That never works. Hopefully we don't do it. Finally, our O Line has done surprisingly well this year even though we've started a different five guys in every game. Hopefully they are able to give Joe enough time, which will be difficult with Buggs and Williams on the inside with Jennings coming from the edge.
I think LSU should definitely have the edge in the kicking game, Cole Tracy is spectacular, but Jaylen Waddle is an unbelievable punt returner as well so hopefully we don't kick it to him. Mecole Hardman for UGA almost made us pay big time the one time we shanked that punt.
All in all, I expect it to be a great game. I don't expect a win for LSU, but if Bama comes out flat and turns it over a few times, LSU might be able to pull off the upset. However, I fully expect Saban to have his guys ready. Anyway Tide fans for those of you who are coming to the game , I hope you enjoy your visit to BR. Win or lose I hope you are treated well and enjoy what could potentially be a legendary atmosphere. If you have any questions about the trip, feel free to ask in this thread. Thank you and as always, GEAUX TIGERS

Good thread. How is LSU doing in pass protection this year? Are you concerned with Alabama D being able to pressure or get to Burrow?

JMO, LSU has to be at least +3 Turnovers to have a chance. I fully expect Bama to get into the 30's. LSU will need turnovers to get there.....that or Joe Burrow goes full Stephen Garcia.

Classy post. I hope it remains that way and I hope all players from both teams end the game healthy.

We've been good overall, but certain teams like Southeastern (lol) and UF gave us trouble. A lot of that though was because we had to play Badara Traore at tackle, who is from Massachusetts and played JUCO in NYC, so he never really had good competition and is still learning the game.

UGA game was a complete 180 from UF. depends what unit shows up. I am confident Bama will have at least 3 sacks though

I think for LSU to win, the gameplan will have to be vintage LSU. Small ball game plan that requires long, sustained drives that result in points and keep the Alabama defense on the field. Burrow will have to be near flawless on 3rd Down. Dominate the TOP of possession battle and try to steal a possession somehow.

I am concerned about the LSU defense even without White for a half. However I'd be way more worried if we didn't have Tua, because he has a special ability to spread the ball around quickly and accurately. No more keying on one WR and telegraphing throws (thank god). I think the key for us is on the OL and keeping him upright.
LSU doesn't really scare me offensively, mainly due to Joe Burrow and no huge beast as a feature RB. It's still a ground and pound offense, which we aren't as equipped as usual to deal with, but without a dynamic passing game I can't see LSU scoring more than 14 points (outside possible non-offensive TDs)

More than getting pressure on Tua, our DBs need to be damn physical with their WRs. We cannot let them get comfortable the entire game. At first I thought the best game plan would be to go blitz happy and make Tua uncomfortable. I think we should actually go the opposite, get what pressure we can with our three man front and drop our guys in coverage. Try to befuddle Tua as much as possible. He hasn't thrown a pick all year, I'd like to see him have to react to that. Between our great corner tandem and having extra guys taking up space, maybe we can get the windows small enough that he really gets confused. I'd also like to see him HAVING to make plays in the fourth quarter.
As to the people asking about our O-line, it has been a patchwork all season long. They have been adequate to very good. We should be getting Brumfield back for this game, which should be a huge boost. I think we'll be about as healthy there as we've been all season. If we come up with a game plan of getting the ball out of Joe's hands quickly, we should be able to hold off the Bama line. Joe's biggest problem this year has been holding onto the ball too long.

Give it up, bud. Civilized and LSU do not go together. This is the state of Bourbon Street, Shreveport, Swamp People and David Duke.
