Sad if Shane has passed away. Even sadder is the legacy he left behind and how people remember him.

Man I hate to hear that. I actually liked listening to Shane and some of the thoughts and ideas he had in how Auburn was guilty on the SCam situation.

damn... that really is sad. i really enjoyed his schtick on finebaum. i only realized he actually had cancer probably half a year ago... they never really talked about it and i've been listening at least weekly since saban's second year here.
horrible, horrible news. i honestly thought he represented us well... i know a lot might disagree with me, but he was football educated, he asked all of the right types of questions on air, and -loved- bama football.

I know the Auburn fans hated him, but he was entertaining as hell to listen to and would actually bring some salient points to the table although it would seem to get muddled in 10 other tin foil hat theories. Either way, he seemed like a fun & genuine guy.

Awful news. Shane was one of the few callers I enjoyed on Finebaum. I caught some of the show today and it was really sad. It puts all the flaming in perspective. Roll Tide.

for those 4 hours a day it's easy to get caught up in football,the guest and most of all the callers and forget about what really matters and we are all only here for a short while in life and thanks to Paul he has given some of the side walk alumni a platform and most of all a voice....RIP SHANE ROLL TIDE AND WE WILL ALL MISS YOU AT 4:20PM
