but does that also include the Championship game

Yes. The previously mentioned 1993 Auburn team went undefeated but was banned from postseason so Bama went to the SECCG.

In 2002, the shoe was on the other foot with Bama winning the west but Arky getting the trip to Atlanta courtesy of Albert Means.

What's going to be even more devastating than a post season ban is when they DO start backing recruiting these 4-5 star athletes and can't offer any Fun Money.

Even if we are buying players, why would we choose to stop paying that "fun money"? After living with us for 3 1/2 years, the NCAA wasn't able to find any evidence of us buying players so why would we stop exactly?

Ole Miss should self impose a 1 year ban in an attempt to secure scholarships. Schollys hurt much worse and linger longer. Back in the day they would drop multi year postseason bans and no televised games along with loss of scholarships. Just a slap on the wrist these days but pick your poison.

They have banned themselves from the postseason several times in history.

Well, there's only two kinds of religious people, so it's not much of a reach that Freeze falls into that category.

That will set the program back much further than banning them from a post season

You're right. Ole Miss has plenty of history dealing with not making the post season, they are prepared for that.

Taking scholarsihps away is a huge blow

OM should've self imposed a a one year bowl ban for this season. With their schedule this year it would've been the smart move.

Isn't banning Ole Miss from the SECCG kind of a bad joke?

Ole Miss would never have self imposed a penalty that harsh after how adamantly Freeze and Bjork have defended themselves. They have "played the fool" to a T.
