and not to mention they would lose their share of the Bowl revenue that the SEC shares. We are talking millions.

Truer words never spoken.

Theoretically: Would a bowl ban keep us from sec championship game too?

Or just bowl games?

Was Ohio state allowed to play in championship a few years ago, when they had bowl ban? Sincerely don't remember

I think you're referring to 2012. Ohio State went 12-0 and Penn State went 8-4 to finish 1-2 in their division. Both were under NCAA imposed postseason bans, thus putting a 7-5 Wisconsin team in the Big 10 Championship game (which they won against Nebraska).

its not going to be 1 year. They were getting 1 year just with current violations.

Gosh SOOO many experts on OM now a days.

And wtf do you even mean here? Currently we only have the current allegations. There are no other ones currently.

Chris Lowe speculating is not much better than any other journalist speculating. Nobody knows what's going to actually happen. "Not out of the question" ok thanks for the breaking news

I'm trying really hard to imagine a hypothetical world in which Ole Miss actually played in the SEC championship game and I honestly can't do it. Some things are just universal constants

OH MY GOSH, what if other schools start having boosters who are going around giving out loaner cars for a couple of months and even coaches who might allow a player to crash at his house for a night. What is this world coming to? It will be absolute anarchy!

And it would be for you as well........if.......it was happening at Miss St.

So Ole Miss doesn't get to go to the Chick Fila Bowl next year? I think the world will go on

Well the NCAA already already smacked Baylor. All we have left are Ole Miss and UTk to satisfy our offseason thirst for controversy.

If we get a post-season ban, then I'd put it all on black, and everyone on this board should do so as well.

And I know it's technically post season, but does that also include the Championship game or just the bowl games?

Ole Miss deserves nothing less than the death penalty

Penn State put that off the table forever. I don't care if a team is found knee deep part in a prostitution ring to pay off the recruits, Sandusky put the Death Penalty at rest for good.

There's no doubt about that. I have no clue how they made it out of that one with a football team.

What's going to be even more devastating than a post season ban is when they DO start backing recruiting these 4-5 star athletes and can't offer any Fun Money.

I'm going to guess that OM will get a 3 year bowl ban, loss of 15 scholarships over 3 years and limited to no more than 75-80 players on scholarship over 3 years.
