I have heard him a few times on the early morning show. Anyone else and what are your thoughts.

He seems relaxed in front of the camera. Knows his stuff but did repeat himself during the few min. I was watching.
He quit being a DC to spend more time with family. Not sure how being in NC during the week allows him to do this. More power to him though.

Liked watching McElroy at Bama, but thought he wouldn't be worth a damn on SECN but he has become my favorite of them all. Knows his stuff.

I bet he'll be good. I thought he did a solid job on the national championship game a few years ago.

He is pretty good at keeping players focused with a bunch of NCAA problems swirling around. Ole Miss could do worse.

When they brought him in for the audition they told him he would look at game action and provide analysis. He prepared well and even looked at some plays to break down they what and why of a given play in a given situation. No one had ever broken down plays and brought those specific plays to the audition before (not at SECN any way).
I've been impressed with the amount of research he does and how prepared he is for each show given that he does national radio on sirius, does SECN, does some investing, etc. He's got a busy schedule, but he prepares well. Gotta respect that.

I'm with Dye on this one. just imagine how fricking annoying 10 nick sabans would be. 1 is bad enough. I think a cheese grater to the ball sack is better than 10 nick sabans
