i work for a firm where the owner is seen as kind of a tard, but the department managers he hired are extremely well respected in the industry and as a result we're had to hire over 100 professionals in the past year to keep up with the work load...out of 500 employees..guess who lives in the $4,000,000 home?

Congrats to Coker 2.0....

Coker inherited a team that played in a BCS bowl the previous year from Butch Davis and Chizik inherited a 5-7 team from Tubs that lost to fricking Vanderbilt among others.

FTR I am beyond mad so don't bother asking.

I'm scared of Gus. Makes mediocre players look good and good players look great. Thankfully he won't be around for too much longer.

No idea but if his name starts with Gene and ends with Chizik he better get ready to put that mofo on the market if gus leaves.

LOL... you hope

The actual facts are that AU is recruiting lights out right now with Gene Chizik as the head coach. You honestly think we won't be able to find an offensive coordinator to come in and be successful when Gus leaves?? We have been waxing bammer's arse for awhile now and Gus Malzahn has only been at AU for 2 seasons.

He should send all the new money he's making to Cam and say thank you.

He won't, but Chizik should pay the guy more than $180k for what he just got him.

Actually, it should be the other way around. Cam should be sending money to Gus and Chiz for giving him a chance in the SEC (while not being a rented mule like he would've been at MSU). Malzahn and Chizik put him in position to win a Heisman, National Championship, and be the #1 overall player drafted. They brought him a LONG way.

Pay $180k to make $1.3 million more annually, seems like Chizik got the best deal there.

Auburn coach Gene Chizik is receiving a raise of more than $1 million a year under a new contract that was negotiated after the Tigers won the BCS national championship in January.

The Gus clone embryo has been fertilized and is currently gestating at Samford as we speak/write.

WTF is this nonsense? Just because Gus Malzahn is a hot commodity doesn't mean Chizik's a garbage HC. We haven't even seen him coach without him and you say he sucks.

I feel dumber just having to explain that.

Does he deserve the raise? It's hard to argue he doesn't. Has he been the crowned HC of the world? No. But you reward a NC winning head coach, especially in the SEC.
