Auburn coach Gene Chizik is receiving a raise of more than $1 million a year under a new contract that was negotiated after the Tigers won the BCS national championship in January.

Chizik will earn $3.5 million annually. His contract was extended through the 2015 season. He can earn $4.5 million with incentives, which includes winning another national title.

Chizik is 22-5 in two seasons at Auburn.

Chizik earned $2.2 million annually under his old contract. Details of the new contract will be released by the university later.

The difference between Chiz and Nutt is that Chiz is smart enough to let the assistants coach and stay out of the way. Nutt had to armchair QB and it eventually got him fired at Arky.

Obviously you couldn't pay the tutition.

By the way, is there a school in the nation that doesn't raise TUITION and ticket prices every year?
