And yet in all his years there, he still only has one undefeated season.
He should've gone to Auburn, they have more undefeated season since 2000 than Alabama does.

Let's take a more broader view of history. First up, let's do the most recent....

#6...Tennessee...138-101 (57.7%)
The Big 6 Record 1980-2018 (at least UGA will have ONE national title to claim here!)

Since 2000, I would have to be honest and say that Georgia's program has accomplished the most--in terms of wins, etc.--with the least amount of hardware to show for it.
Georgia has come so very close to multiple national titles since our last one in 1980:
1981: had 9 turnovers, ranked #4 in 13-3 upset loss to unranked Clemson; ranked #2 going into Sugar Bowl vs. #8 Pittsburgh, lost 24-20 with 35 seconds to go on a 33-yd TD pass by Dan Marino.
1982: ranked #1, lost to #2 Penn State, 27-23, for national title in Sugar Bowl
2002: finished season #3 with 13-1 record; only loss was to unranked Florida, 20-13, which cost them chance at national title.
2007: finished season #2, tied w/UT for East crown, however UT won tiebreaker and played in SECCG; was leapfrogged in polls by LSU, who was voted ahead of UGA due to being SEC champs (wouldn't matter today, though).
2012: lost heartbreaker to Alabama, 32-28, in final seconds of SECCG that cost UGA right to play ND for national title.
2017: lost another heartbreaker in OT to Alabama, 26-23, in CFP title game.
2018: lost yet another heartbreaker in final minute to Alabama, 35-28, in SECCG, and chance to progress to CFP and chance at national title.
Close, but no cigar. Makes me wonder if there's some kind of hex on our program. Oh well, it is what it is.

Somebody PLEASE give LSU some attention in this damn thread!
They are undefeated right now, they are putting their best offense on the field that they’ve had in the last decade.

typo...should be 14...will correct. I didn't count the BCS games as bowl games...maybe I should have, right? Perhaps it should be 16. Figures are following the 2000 season.

yep - you right - without Saban showing up to establish the program as a national power (temporarily), LSU would still be fighting w/Ole Miss & MSU for mid-tier mediocrity...deal with it...

Depends on what you consider bowls. Bama has 20 post season appearances since 2000 with 13 wins.

funny, I'm so tired of looking at the stats now I'm seeing double!

Surely LSU must have the most national championships in that span.
I don't feel like looking it up.

What are you talking about? LSU would still have multiple SEC championships since integration without Saban unlike the Mississippi schools. Alabama fans probably have the worst knowledge of the conference of all SEC fan bases.
And yeah, he rejuvenated the program, just like he did Alabama. Without him, Alabama would be wallowing on the bottom with Tennessee right about now. Unlike Tennessee, LSU has the ability to win championships after a great coach has left. Will Alabama? We'll see.

Bama has only won 6 national titles since 1980. (1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017)

Counting the BCS and CFP, Bama has played 20 since 2000, not counting the 1999 season. Won 13, lost 7.

How many sports are included in achieving those 799 wins since 2000?
