Actually, very good argument. Hell, to be honest, it doesn't matter who's #1 or #5. Usually if you finish in the top 5 or so, you have a great shot a NC over the next 2-3 years.

I thought LSU was supposed to be stealing all of our recruits after their EPIC 5 point win? Ya know, that 5 point win with their most prolific offense ever.
Hell, I'd be concerned if I were LSU. Seems like their decline is already starting now that Burrow is gone and they didn't get all our recruits.

You’ll look back at the last 12-13 months and the decline will be obvious.
Let’s be honest- in a normal year Saban is getting Boutte, Roy, Gilbert, and probably Guillory. That’s on top of the UGA and Clemson signees Saban used to hand pick. Don’t be naive, Everything is shifting away from the norm you’ve gotten used to.
