Wow. Remember when all you had to do was type '1980'?

Meh, I have no hard feelings against Georgia.

Would've been great to see if 2021 LSU could've knocked them off, just like in 2018 when they were #2.

Not sure if it was possible, never say never though.

Joe Burrow ain't coming back to LSU and, if he did, Matt Stafford would kick his @ss.

I'm actually a Joey B fan, but I had to laugh at that.

Wow. Maybe you shouldn't have started this response thread.

"Would've been great to see if 2021 LSU could've knocked them [Georgia] off"

Amazing. Let's see - did you knock 2021 Kansas State off in your little bowl game? Did you at least stay within 3 touchdowns of Kansas State?

And you wonder why people see LSU fans as delusional?

Hey, I'll agree that 2019 LSU might have been the best college football team of all time. But that was then, this is now. And now? LSU sucks and Georgia is the reigning National Champ.

Again, has nothing to do with Orgeron vs Kirby as neither were involved.

And why is this? Why was neither of them involved in the Kansas State blowout win over LSU?

Shall we ponder this mystery?

Okay - Orgeron was fired for cause and Kirby was kicking Saban's @ss in the College Football National Championship - not with a Heisman winner at QB, but with a walk-on who kicked the Heisman winning QB's @ss.

So yeah, neither were involved.

Ah, 1980 was so simple. These are complicated times, amiright?

The university's director of athletics Scott Woodward wrote that Orgeron 'would not be returning' and said that the coach had agreed to stay on for the remainder of the season 'even when faced with this difficult news.'

Woodward also hinted at LSU's displeasure at Orgeron's performance, saying: 'Ultimately, we have very high standards for all our sports programs...

'Our last two seasons have simply not met those standards, and based on our on-field results and our evaluation of the potential for future immediate success, it is time for a new direction.'

1980 ... wait ...

I meant - 2021.

I don't think he was fired with cause?

Either way, it was lucky for Georgia.

There's no evidence that Kirby could've ever beaten him.

Glad to hear it. If you're enjoying it even remotely as close to the level of enjoyment currently experienced by the long-suffering Georgia fan, you're having quite the off-season indeed.
