There was also, I kid you not, one of the Aggies (Hispanic with a hyphenated last name) who had to be put in a remedial reading/writing program because he was borderline illiterate.
He was the source of one of the greatest malaprops ever. He was a platoon leader for all of us lieutenants when we first got there. We had to form up and we were all shooting the breeze and not paying attention because classes weren't starting yet (we were still waiting on other 2nd Lts with later graduations to arrive). Instead of telling us to "quit smoking and joking" he hit us with "knock off the smoking and pooping". We all lost it. Almost literal ROFL. For the entire 6 months at Quantico in our company whenever someone was grabbing arse the calls of "knock off the smoking and pooping" would ring out.

I am not sure were that statistic came from. Maybe you can explain to the group why A&M's veteran student population is over twice what UTrans has. I bet it is because the donghorns get all of the LGBTQ veterans and A&M gets the rest.
