Couple of things that no one has mentioned:

1. LSU faced a really great quarterback and 18 staters returning. See Sugar Bowl Ala and Utah to see what a great quarterback can do.
2. Defense did not have any game film to study due to new coach and quarterback that missed last season.
3. UW was able to practice more than 20 hours per week b/c school does not start until Sept. 30.

Even with this, Chavis made adjustments and shut UW down the second half. If I remember correctly, Chavis had another knock against him and that was he did not make halftime adjustments. See UCLA vs. Tenn last year. Well I thought he made a great adjustment at the half.

Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis are going to be in a movie called Black Swan in which they are going to have an "aggressive, angry sex scene."

1. Chavis has made his money at TN. He's burned out, washed up and only in it for the money until he gets fired. He's not studying, he's not teaching, he's not hands on, he's not motivating. He's simplying pulling a check to retirement. Maybe he thinks he's still a good coach by not working as hard but he's wrong.

I doubt Miles would have him on staff if he didnt show a desire to get shite done.

quote:

2. The defensive recruitment has been sub-par and he doesn't have as much talent to work with as everyone thought. Maybe all the rankings were just for Rivals subscriptions b/c Lsu has alot of subscribers that will pay more to see more "4 star" and what is "Johnny 4 star " saying.

Seriously doubt they could get away with that. We're not Alabama.

3. These guys were talented and tough but they've lost it in the weight room and by playing for Les Miles and a subpar ,underacheiving offense, possibly combined with #1?

Did you see how the players looked? All of them looked like super human genetic freaks.

My theory is that Chavis went into the game with the gameplan of play soft and not give up big plays and we will get the W. And most importantly dont give away any schemes playing a team like UW.

I might be blowing smoke up my own arse but i know Chavis had some great defenses at UT and there is no reason for him not to have at least a respectable D here.

London Crawford went from a 4 star to a 3 star when he de-committed from LSU and went to Arkansas, so that is one case where the guy could have a point.

Hey Ole Miss fans...once your team actually wins something then you can analyze another team's coach, till then no one cares what you think. Oh yeah, one more thing....what"s with your "walk of champions"? How can Ole Miss have a walk of champions? After all when is the last time Ole Miss has won a real championship in any MAJOR sport?

Actually, I just read an article with quotes from our players. They said Chavis didn't make any halftime adjustments.

No...He went from a 4 to a 3 when Rivals updated their rankings. It happens all the time. We've seen many of our commits drop down the rankings this year, when they do their updates. Quit being a douche!

I think LSU just played a little too fired up. Overplaying there assignment and trying to make the big hit causing missed tackles. They will calm down this weekend. But the first 2 theories is probally the worst I have heard so far. Do you just read stats and have never really been around an athlete or coach? Because Chavis would be more fired up with a new job and LSU's talent level is scary.

Now this always just pisses me off. Why is that fans of schools with less than successful programs are not qualified to have an opinion about another program? Hell, we see how not to do it more often than fans of successful schools. Conversely, what does being a fan of a successful program do to qualify "you" to know more than anyone else?

go look at the first half stats vs the second half stats. LSU didn't have much to prepare for against Washington. After they saw what Washington was doing (offensively) they made adjustments and it showed in the second half. Oregon State was seconds away from beating LSU at home in 04. I believe they won 7 games that year, that's far from being a great team. LSU was never in jeopardy of losing the game.

I know I will get bashed for saying this. but I honestly think it has more to do with disclipine, attitude and responsibility.

With Saban, you mess up and you are going to be called out and belittled in front of everyone. Messing up is not an option. You will feel the wrath.

Miles seems to have more of a "players coach" attitude and more relaxed with players and the mistakes they make.

McClain Saturday night ? He was named their Defensive player of the game. He's lucky he wasn't kicked out of the game.
