If you think it's possible, which three do you think can do it?

C'est ne pas possible.
SECCG will guarantee 2 at most.

I don't think it is possible, but if so, I am sure it will be the three highest ranked teams.

Absolutely zero chance of that ever happening.

Is there a rule against it? I have no idea, but I don't see how it is impossible as long as it doesn't specifically say that three teams can't come from the same conference.

Country hates us, will never happen. If computers picked the 4 teams, maybe. A selection committee will do it's best to keep any SEC teams except the champs out.

Anything is possible but not likely. The SEC will continue to be it's own worst enemy.

This year would have been a decent chance had UGA beaten SC. In that scenario, we would have had Alabama and UGA at 12-1 and Florida at 11-1, so it could have happened since everyone else around the country kind of sucked.

SEC conference championship makes the possibility low.

I think it's a decent change for us getting 2 teams. However, 3 teams is really a stretch for a 4 team playoff.
You would have to have other conference champions lose some games. Then you would have to have an undefeated SECw/e team, a 1 loss team in that same division and a 1 loss team in the other division (who would've lost the SECCG.
All 3 teams would have to start the season in the Top 12 as well with no more than 2 head to head b/w the three.
It COULD happen, but it's not likely.

That is pretty much what happened this year. All of the other good teams lost to teams that wouldn't have had a chance of making the playoff.

I don't think it's that far fetched. It won't happen often but the scenario that most likely presents that possibility isn't outlandish at all - undefeated or 1-loss SEC Champ, 1-loss SEC runner up, and 1-loss runner up in its own division.

No. Not with the SEC Championship Game.

SEC Champion and runner up from each division (maybe the loser of the SECCG).
This past year I could see Alabama, LSU/aTm, and UGA/UF getting in.
In the future I could see Alabama/LSU/aTm, UF/UGA/USCe and whichever one of those wins the SECCG getting in.

Arkansas, aTm, and Missouri.

... and if a bullfrog had wings and if my Aunt had balls she'd be my Uncle, etc.
But what if South Carolina has beaten LSU and Florida and lost to Bama in the SEC Championship Game all the while Florida had only one loss to SC and if they had beaten Georgia ... then, yeah, we could have had #2, #3 and #4.
Think about it.

Most likely, the best chance would be two undefeated teams play in the SECCG and another SEC team with one loss (obviously a conference loss to the division winner).
Something like 12-0 Florida vs 12-0 Alabama with 11-1 LSU hanging in the corner. Plus, there would have to be no more than 1 undefeated major program in the country.
As it stands, though, I think the SEC will get two teams in the top 4 40-50% of the time.

It WILL happen, and there WILL be lots of bitching from the rest of the country about how it's not fair.
