I didn't know Mizzou was so important to the college football landscape.

Well, we were the sole cause of all conference realignment, according to some. We're kind of a big deal.

Drop FSU to 5 already and out UW at 4 where they at least belong. This is getting ridiculous.

How far does the UM/OSU loser fall in a close game?

PREACH! Oregons best win is a 22nd ranked Utah. Thats their only currently ranked win.

FSU is living off of that LSU win still. UW has played better opponents and should be 4th.

This committee does not value strength of schedule, teams should just start scheduling MAC teams for every non conference game.

Still do not understand Oregon being ahead on TX and Bama. Not all schedules are the same.

Agreed why even play a tough schedule - makes no sense. Just go undefeated against bad to average teams and you are in like TCU did last year and then got destroyed. It should be based on eye test solely.

It’s going to be a at least 3 teams from SEC every year. It’s going to be dumb as shite. They want 12 because SEC wins it every year. And that’s not going to change when you have have 3-4 in there every year

How not generous of you. It's expanding to 12 to generate more interest. More teams = more variety = more interesting. Fans of anybody other than OSU, Michigan, Bama, Georgia, Clemson and Notre Dame will get to be included and watch their team maybe make a run.

College football has the least parity at the very top of any American sport. Pushing the playoff to 12 teams will make up for some of the disparity.

I agree this year SOS not so important. But next year with all those 1 and 2 loss teams trying to get in, I think SOS comes into play.

Bama kinda fricked there.
I mean, they’re royally fricked and it was apparent after the 1st CFP ranking.

Alabama STILL being behind Oregon after looking solid and with wins over 13, 15, and 18 while Oregon’s best win is 22 is a death sentence for Alabama.

I know plenty folks are enjoying it but this committee is absolutely fricked for this decision.

Alabama won’t make it in even with a win over UGA and the committee will have one hell of a time explaining it when we’re all looking at the resumes of Alabama and Oregon.

They aren’t leaving the SEC champ out.

Bama wins and they will find a way in. Bama loses and it’s over.

I also don’t think they are relying on Oregon to beat Washington.

Oklahoma - waaaay overrated.

They have 2 losses to 2 ranked teams by 8 combined points and they beat a top 10 Texas who beat a top 10 Bama.

They are ranked about right. They only climbed this week because several ranked teams nestled around them got beat on Saturday.

If Bama wins out, they're in.

The question is, what happens to Georgia?
