I don’t expect Bama to get in.
SMU will likely look like 2022 TCU vs. Georgia at some point in this playoff, though.

He’s not on the committee and his statement was broad. Sure he’s defending Alabama but he also included Ole Miss, SC and Miami in his argument.

But Bama losing 24-3 to a bad OU team and then beating a worse Auburn team to close their season is any better? Bama is the KING of backing into playoffs. For once it’ll be nice they don’t get gifted a spot

Not sure it matters everyone knew for the most part who was in including SMU after the ACCCG. They are just trying to get people to watch.

A 3 loss team should get in over SMU because they beat Clemson?
you can't take SC without also taking Alabama and Ole Miss too so it is dumb for Saban to mention them.
