The bowls that are not in the playoffs draft their teams in an order that rotates. The Fiesta Bowl picks first this year. Not sure what the order this year for Orange, Cotton, or Peach Bowls is.

Here’s the joke of a crowd they brought to their only NY6 bowl Mizzou has ever been to. Oklahoma state easily sold out 65% of the stadium. The cotton bowl will remember that shite.

Damn, you got me. That's pathetic.
What's Ole Miss' record against them over that 40+ year time period?

I agree with your thinking. I just think in this case with Georgia, Alabama, Texas head to head should matter. Don’t get me wrong, I believe Alabama is better than Texas. But my opinion doesn’t matter. I do give tx and Al credit for scheduling the game. Should be a system that rewards the winner and doesn’t necessarily penalize the loser. Expanded playoff should resolve some of this within top 10.

Sure. It'll be nice to beat up on another team from Louisiana for a change. Hopefully their QB actually has a pair of balls.

This is how Ole Miss travels to NY6 bowls. 80% of the crowd.
The cotton bowl definitely considers that over your heroic loss to Georgia.

Big time early season OOC games I think mattered more during the old BCS era more than it makes in the CFP era. Teams can be so different and so much worse or better from game 1 or 2 till the end of Championship week that it’s hard to put to much stock in them anymore. Plus coaches have all offseason and camp to tinker and design a great plan for one game similar to bowl season. I think with OOC games that early in a season it’s just a snapshot of that week. We find out how good teams are in conference play. The only exception to that rule I think is if a team plays in a bad conference and then a huge OOC game matters a lot more and you learn more about that team than you will at any other time in the year.

I’m just happy that you have this message board to blow off this steam in a safe and healthy way. The Rant is therapeutic in that regard.
I assume it will help soften your inevitable disappointment.

If the playoff pans out like that, OSU vs Louisville is likely because of ACC tie-in. Alabama vs Washington is far more intriguing matchup. OU isn’t getting in with Missouri, Ole Miss and Penn State ranked ahead. Missouri plays Tulane and Texas plays Penn State.
Texas vs BAMA and Wash vs Penn is likely as well.

Missouri is the better team right now.
Ole Miss shouldn't have let Georgia run a train on them. The committee took notice.

Don’t disagree with anything you said. But I still think the season head to head should still mean something. Otherwise it’s purely subjective. I don’t have confidence in the committee to make the best decisions.

if you're curious, mizzou week continues because rankings don't matter. you see, the cotton bowl wants ole miss vs texas, and it doesn't matter that ole miss self-admittedly doesn't have the talent to hang with elite teams
LONG LIVE MISSOURI WEEK!

You have posted this screenshot 5+ times, not sure what it proves. Mizzou was bad in the 80s and 90s, so Ole Miss should get a NY6 bowl ahead of them? Weird melt!

However, after Missouri went on the road and beat Arkansas by 34 while Ole Miss went on the road and beat Mississippi State by 10, we've changed our minds and decided Ole Miss deserves a higher ranking than Mizzou.
How many Ole Miss fans have you seen make this argument? We’re pissed that Mizzou is ranked so far ahead of us in the first place. We know they’re not gonna change it.

You’re trying to get to a better bowl because you bring more people to the stadium? Do you get more likes on Facebook too, Deion?

I think the Cotton would rather have Colorado vs. Texas, but it’s not gonna happen
