So this is essentially a transitive property map?

You take over the land of someone only if you beat them at their stadium, or just at all?

Since Pitt beat Miami, Auburn can't reclaim their original land in the playoffs. Pitt is done.

Correct. Despite having a losing season. Pitt finishes with a bunch of land because they knocked off an undefeated team in the last game. It goes to show nobody is really out in this game.
