Yes, but he had a leg up. Not that I blame him, it's a business decision.
You obviously aren't gonna leave them behind.

For UK standards these last few years have been some of the worst UK teams in my entire life. I’m not sure what other decision they had

There wasn't any. Getting out of that contract was the best thing to happen to us. Arkansas getting a coach to bring them back was best for them win/win. Not sure why they think they got the better deal. It was time for him to go. That doesn't mean he won't do well there. This melting has been weird.

He will continue to have a leg up, not because of where he is but who he is. We’ve been seeing this for many years. Those players didn’t have to come here, they voluntarily chose to.

Yes, they voluntarily came there for the coach. We both are doing well in 'crootin'. I don't have any ill will for Cal nor the players that followed him. Obviously, some of my brethren do. They can get over it.

Like I said, cal did us a favor. We both needed the change. I love what Pope is doing, and I'm excited for the future. WM likes to troll, but I get it after the victory melt from yesterday. If we win tonight, I could care less what Arkansas fans might post. We should all move on from this. Change was a win/win.

UK, Arky and BYU all got an upgrade. Poor USC.

A few years from now, UK will hang a banner for Calipari in Rupp Arena.
For right now, Congrats to the Hogs on winning yesterday.
I hope Kentucky wins today. They are an underdog in spite of the seeding but as Arkansas showed yesterday that is why you play the game. I hope all SEC teams win until we meet one. If we lose, I will cheer for the others including the Hogs. If we lose I will still like Mark Pope. He has brought an exciting style of play and built a team from zero returning players.

Sure you did because you were ready to go back to the tubby and billy clyde years.
We all remember how no one wanted the job before Cal took it. Dont try to rewrite history

Tubby won a National Championship buddy.

Barnhart offering Drew and Hurley then moving on isn’t anywhere near “no one wanted the job”. That narrative is silly at best. And it obviously worked out just fine.

Are you talking about 2009? Cal was the only person offered.

Everyone loved Cal when he was winning.. but losing plus being a DICK leads to a lot of people throwing their hands up.. when the boosters don't wanna contribute, you've got a dick on your hands.
You live with him for 15 years then holler back at me bub

I thank God we didn't get Drew I don't like Baylor or his style.. nobody expected Hurley for real.
It was either wait for Donovan to finish his season with the bulls or go for Pope..and I am so glad we did.
"But but he's never won a ncaa tourney game"
He's won 2 now so I guess being at Kentucky DOES have its advantages.

And that's with a patchwork roster and major injury issues..
